〰️ Model Railroad Show & Open House---Saturday & Sunday, March 9th & 10th

The South Shore Model Railway Club & Museum is one of America's oldest HO-scale model railroad clubs, having been founded in September 1938 in Quincy, Massachusetts. The Club celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2013.

We moved to our current location, in Bare Cove Park in Hingham, Massachusetts, in 1998. Our building is a former U. S. Navy munitions warehouse and encompasses approximately 10,000 square feet.

With more than sixty active members, and a railroad measuring 40 feet by 140 feet, the South Shore Model Railroad Club is also one of the largest in the country, both in physical size and membership. New members, of course, are always welcome.

Our official meeting nights are Mondays and Thursdays. Visitors are welcome on those nights, except for the first Monday of the month, which is our members’ Business Meeting.

We have four events each year where the public is invited to come in and see our progress

There are two-day events in March and October, which include dealers, visiting railroad layouts and a “White Elephant Table,” where bargains can be made on “gently used” model railroad items. A one-day open house in the middle of the summer and a "Scout/Family Night" in early January round out the public events.
